Jason Whitlock hasn’t wasted any time stirring it up since joining Fox Sports last month after a messy breakup with ESPN.

“I want to say this,” Whitlock said on Colin Cowherd’s radio show. “My prediction is, Colin, Chip Kelly will be the next head coach at the University of Miami, at the U. Chip Kelly. They can pay the money. If you go look at his coaching staff, there are guys on the coaching staff with Miami connections. Those athletes in Chip Kelly’s athletes at the University of Miami will be tremendous. That’s my prediction.”

There’s no debating Kelly would be a massssssssssive upgrade over Al Golden. But there are so many questions for this to enter the realm of plausibility if Chip is even interested.

  1. Is Chip ready to quit the NFL?
  2. Would Miami be willing to make him one of the highest paid coaches in the land?
  3. Why would Chip choose Miami over more enticing programs like USC?

Don’t count on it.

However, he was spot on back in 2010 when Whitlock¬†called Al Golden a “terrible” coach.

“I think he’s a terrible gameday coach. Most people have no understanding of what he actually did at Temple,” he said. “He’s not very good.”
