It seems SEC cheerleader and Canes hater Paul Finebaum heard about Mark Richt joining the Miami Hurricanes during his radio show Wednesday, which is of course simulcast on SEC Network because the SEC is the only conference that matters underneath that glossy skull of his.

He seemed less than enthused as he looked at what probably was his computer screen showing one tweet after another of reports giving credit to Peter Ariz of CanesInsight.com for being the first to break the news.
Finebaum wouldn’t accept Richt joining Miami until he heard “more solid information” because why would ANYONE coach outside the heavenly SEC?

Here is Mr. Finebaum after his ESPN coworkers confirmed Ariz’s report.
After weeping for a few minutes he sent out the following tweet, probably realizing it’s okay to congratulate the U on its hire because after all, Richt did come from the SEC.
Mark Richt would be an epic hire for Miami. You can say The U is relevant again.
