From Mike Shanahan to Tom Coughlin, there’s already been a bunch of coaches out there linked to the Miami Dolphins but one NFL reporter who covers this team closely thinks Hue Jackson would be the best fit.

“Hue Jackson I think is the type of guy — this is a guy who can come in here, work with the quarterback,” Jeff Darlington said on the Joe Rose Show on WQAM. “He’s got a ton of swagger. I think that he can come in here and make guys more accountable. He’s a tough guy. I think that he would be a very good fit.

“From all the names that I’ve seen, personally I think that Hue Jackson would probably be the best fit but they’re gonna have to compete for him. San Francisco has a job opening now too and so does Philadelphia. ”

Jackson has been serving as offensive coordinator for the Bengals for the last two seasons but can’t interview for coaching vacancies until at least Sunday with his team still in the playoffs. His only head coaching stint in the NFL was in 2010 with the Raiders when he went 8-8 only to be fired after one season after Reggie McKenzie was named GM.

San Francisco and Miami have already requested interviews, according to NFL Network’s Mike Silver.
