Like us, you’ve probably never heard of Nick Brzezinski, a former tight end for Duke in the early 2000s.

Apparently Nick was personally recruited by then Miami Hurricanes assistant Art Kehoe and he shared a fantastic story about his courtship on the Cauldron.

Kehoe came to my high school to watch some of my game film and meet me in person for the first time. After shaking hands and hearing his pitch for me to commit one of my five official visits to the sun and sheen of South Beach, he handed over his business card, telling me I should get in touch with him soon, and doubling up on the benefits of taking a trip to Miami:

“Trust me man, you wanna come on down,” he said. “You’ll get to meet the players, get outta this cold, see the beach! Gimme a call anytime. Here, lemme tell you something so you’ll never forget my name. My name’s Kehoe. You know why? ’Cause I got the key to all the hoes.’”

Art Kehoe — never forget the name.
