Stephen A. Smith, the sole media member to peg LeBron James (and Chris Bosh) to the Miami Heat in 2010, just dropped some serious juice that will make Cavs fans whimper in the fetal position through the weekend — don’t put it past LeBron leaving Cleveland.

“It’s not just about Kyrie,” Smith said on ESPN’s Jorge and Izzy Show last night. “It’s about Gilbert and the residue from what their relationship turned out to be because of 2010 because they’re still focused on… LeBron’s inner circle — they cant stand Dan Gilbert and have never forgiven him for what he said. There’s also David Griffin — you got to respect him but he’s a Gilbert guy obviously — and they partially blame him for not getting them a viable backup point guard to Kyrie Irving.”

Here’s where things got interesting.

“One of the things LeBron’s inner circle religiously said is that yeah he’s back but don’t you think for one second that he’s going to sit idly by and watch this franchise take him for granted and put too much excess weight on his shoulders, the way that they used to when he was in Cleveland the first go-around. Think that he’s going to permanently stay if you want to but do not try him. Yes he is committed to trying to bring a championship back to Cleveland and it does seem to be something that he would never do again but don’t rule anything out when it comes to LeBron James.

Cavs fans furiously load up on kerosene.

“What everybody close to him continuously reminds me of is don’t you dare take this guy for granted and think for one second he’s trapped with staying in Cleveland just because he decided to come back,” Smith continued. “Don’t put it past him to get so annoyed that he’ll leave again if he feels he is taking for granted, run into the ground and essentially misused. That’s what they say.”

Could LeBron leave Cleveland?

Most can’t see it. But most also couldn’t see him leaving the first time or leaging Miami after two titles in three years…

The LeDrama continues.
