Pretty soon it’s going to be difficult for Dan Le Batard to get out of his father’s shadow.
Gonzalo Le Batard, better known to the nation as Papi for his roles hosting Highly Questionable and voicing the Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, appears to be in line to become Stephen A. Smith’s new co-host on First Take.
The news was first broken by Christ Broussard on Twitter this morning.

Papi would replace loudmouth Skip Bayless, who is departing for Fox Sports.
A well placed source in Papi’s inner circle confirms while he’s growing more comfortable with the idea of joining First Take he hasn’t made his mind up just yet. His one major concern is working daily with the stunning Molly Querim because he’s worried “she will fall for my Cuban charm.”
“I’m a happily married man,” Papi allegedly told our source. “I don’t want to break the woman’s heart. Have you seen me with no shirt?”
We’ll continue to monitor the situation going forward but it would seem Papi is on the cusp of explosively rising up ESPN’s food chain.
