Dion Waiters, a 25-year-old journeyman of the National Basketball Association, is listed under the “wanted” section of the league’s website for the attempted murder of the Golden State Warriors on the evening of January 23.
Last seen at 601 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami Florida (American Airlines Arena), Waiters fired off 20 shots and connected on 13.
The warrant claims Waiters “is a major threat to the golden age of the National Basketball Association” for attempting to murder the NBA’s premier franchise in the Warriors. It also states several victims, including Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital for “life-threatening wounds and psychological trauma.”
We’re told the NBA is leading the manhunt but is willing to work with the FBI in securing the lethal Miami Heat employee.
A spokesperson at Jackson tells us that while Thompson is in critical condition being the one closest to Waiters throughout the evening, Curry “should make it. However he was overheard screaming “Please stop, Dion, NO,” throughout the night during a drug-induced sleep.
