Jason Taylor’s early retirement has been similar to his Miami Dolphins playing days, producing oodles of highlights but not without its ups and downs.

Take this week for instance.

JT was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame over the weekend, but days earlier news of a lawsuit from his ex-wife Katrina, who is Zach Thomas’ sister, surfaced from the Miami Herald. Apparently the two quietly divorced in 2015 and Katrina’s complaint says he’s come up over $3 million short on what was supposed to be a lump sum alimony payment of about $8.7 million.

It appears Taylor has been recuperating from his divorce in the arms of Monica Velasco, whose Instagram indicates she’s been a Miami Dolphins cheerleader since 2013. Taylor actually publicly shared his new relationship in April, posting a picture of Monica with the caption, “Bae beauty #blessed.”
